The third domain of professional interest is media and market research. With project-related employments and several freelance projects I have acquired some experience. I analyzed media (especially press and internet articles) and market / competitor related content. Methodological focus was on content analysis (qualitative) and a lot of programming (XML, MS Access with VBA and MS SQL, statistics). Most of the work was done as a freelancer. MediaI was working for a French dictionnary house, on a large database of dictionnary entries, reviewing content and tagging. More concerned with the fundamentals of IT-based media analysis was a project with media:meter in Leipzig. A larger study for a French consulting company, analyzing the published opinion on Air Trafic Management within German speaking press. With a summary of the main lines of argumentations for a number of daily and weekly publications came an overview of market share and main customer structure. This study was written in French. Another larger study on political responsabilities and lines of argumentations of German parties and lobby groups about the future of air traffic. Again for the Paris based company, written in French. MarketThe first contact with market and competitor analysis was during an internship for the holding of the Ernst-Klett Media Group. Full focus on the economical and technological development of the whole photovoltaic market had a "Competitor Database" with Q-Cells . Employed mainly as MS-Access programmer, I learned a lot about the photovoltaics industry and methods of competitor and market research. I liked it. A number of smaller projects followed. BeyondBeyond, I mostly offer my capacities in design and implementation of MS Access databases, and programming. I have been working with Perl and a little with C(++) and I can certainly learn other languages quickly. Furthermore, I can refer to my extensive experience statistics statistics . | |||||
